The French Blue Cotton Twill Safari Jacket is expertly crafted by renowned maker’s Justo Gimeno. A family-owned business now in its fourth generation of members, who specialise in crafting exquisite and selective pieces for the refined gentlemen.
A firm favourite amongst a transitional wardrobe, due to its historic allure and sophisticated demeanour. The safari jacket offers an internal drawstring for an accurate fit, a breathable pleat to the lower back, horn style buttons reminiscent of classic pieces, and the iconic safari style 4 patch pocketing.
Crafted from a cotton twill based fabric to provide strength and durability to the piece, which offers a cloth weight of 290g. The hand-feel is relatively dry with a slight brushed feel and smooth handle, softening over extended time and many adventures.
This particular piece has been tailored to be in keeping with the original qualities and characteristics of traditionally produced safari jackets.

The origins of the safari jacket date back to the 20th century, whereby suit wranglers, conservationists, and prairie keeps took a liking to the design, due to its lightweight and extremely practical design.
Since then, the safari jacket has become a well-established and historic allure. Highly considered as a transitional piece for the spring/summer season, with its versatile and classy demeanour.
This particular jacket has been expertly crafted by Justo Gimeno, who has wonderfully tailored many pieces as part of our current product offering. Justo specialises in skilfully creating the iconic Teba Jacket, as well as producing British inspired, casual, and hunting style garments.

We now collect the VAT based on the country from which you place your order.
With this new system in place, you can order with confidence and rest assured that there will be no surprise charges upon delivery. Everything is being taken care of during the check out process on The Merchant Fox's website
UK Shipping - £8.50 + VAT on all orders within mainland UK except furniture.
Services to Russia
Due to the ongoing situation surrounding Russia, we shall not be offering shipment of any of our products to the country.
Whilist we are closely monitoring the events and circumstances, this shipping suspension will remain in place for the foreseeable future. However, should there be any further changes to this development, we will keep you informed.

Import regulations and duties
If you order goods from our site for delivery outside the UK & EU they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receipt and we would be happy to assist you with your return.
If you would like us to arrange your return shipment please get in contact. The cost of the return will be deducted from your refund or invoiced separately.
Custom & Personalised orders
We cannot accept returns on any made-to-order or customised pieces. However, we are of course more than happy to accept returns on pre-order items and in stock products.
