PROVENANCE [ CASENTINO ]
This alluring woollen cloth is skilflully woven by the finest mill in the Casentino Valley, Arezzo. The Casentino cloth has been used since the middle ages for blankets where it was favoured for the fabric's strength and durability. Ever since, it has enjoyed popularity being the cloth of choice for many noble men in the 19th Century. Today the cloth is as popular enduring fashions and trends with its unique 'swirls' and 'curls' . The classic orange and green have had particular success, the first being the cloth adorning Audrey Hepburn in 'that orange coat' in the classic film Breakfast at Tiffany's.
