Fox Flannel Navy Borestière Jacket

Sale price£995 GBP
Fox Flannel Navy Borestière Jacket

'The Borestière' takes its cues from 'Heavy Navy Fox Flannel', combined with the details of an iconic garment, and intricate styling from Chato Lufsen.

Drawing on inspiration from the works of Le Corbusier, a modernist architect who envisioned developing a day-in-day out jacket, with modifications and features to suit an everyday lifestyle.

These adjustments would allow for plenty of movement within the shoulders, through the use of "pivot" style sleeves. In addition to conveniently situated patch pocketing and a versatile nature to the main body. Considered ahead of its time, 'The 'Forestière' was launched during the 1950's, as a unique take on a workwear coat.

Modelled upon its very predecessor, 'The Borestière' is skilfully produced by Chato Lufsen, who hold the rights to create a version of the original jacket.

Crafted with 'Heavy Navy Fox Flannel'. A classic fabric, which was first developed in the early 1800's by Fox Brothers. The cloth has since remained as part of the Fox archive, becoming a firm favourite due to its superior finish, luxe handle and heavy weight of 530/560g, 18/19oz.

'The Borestière' features a mandarin collar with architectural pocketing, elbow patches, piped buttonholes, elephant embossed metal buttons, midnight blue Fox lining and inner pocket.
